Before God could create this world and all
the creatures in it, the first thing He ever created
was angels. He created millions of them and He
made Lucifer the chief of the angels. The word
'Lucifer'; in the
Hebrew means 'the shining
one.; Lucifer's job in heaven was to lead
all the angels in praising and worshipping God.
He was very beautiful, full of wisdom and power
and none of the angels were like him. He was the
chief musician in heaven. He was just next to
God. Besides the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit,
there was no one above Him. One day, pride came
into the heart of Lucifer and he said in his heart,
I will rise above the throne of God; I will become
God. This is like the table saying, I will become
the carpenter. Lucifer rebelled against God and
one third of the angels rebelled with him. When
God saw the rebellion in the angels, He threw
them out of heaven. Lucifer became Satan which
means the slanderer and his angels became the
demons. Ever since, he hates God and God’s
choicest creation, you and me. There are only
two scriptures in the Bible that speak about Lucifer
before his fall.
Is 14:12-15 How you
are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn!
How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid
the nations low! You said in your heart, "I will
ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will
set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount
of assembly in the far north; I will ascend above
the heights of the clouds, I will make myself
like the Most High.” But you are brought
down to Sheol, to the depths of the Pit.
Ez 28:12-17 "You were
the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect
in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God;
every precious stone was your covering, carnelian,
topaz, and jasper, chrysolite, beryl, and onyx,
sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and wrought
in gold were your settings and your engravings.
On the day that you were created they were prepared.
With an anointed guardian cherub I placed you;
you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst
of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless
in your ways from the day you were created, till
iniquity was found in you. In the abundance of
your trade you were filled with violence, and
you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from
the mountain of God, and the guardian cherub drove
you out from the midst of the stones of fire.
Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you
corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.
I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before
kings, to feast their eyes on you."
When God created Adam and Eve and put them in
the garden of Eden with beautiful fruit bearing
trees, the Bible says that Adam and Eve had a
relationship with God. They walked and talked
with God. God told them that they could eat of
all the fruit of the trees in the garden but commanded
them not to touch the fruit of the tree that was
in the middle of the garden; for the day they
would touch it, they would die. i.e. they would
be separated from God. Now there came in the garden
the enemy in the disguise of a serpent, and he
spoke to Eve. Gen 3:1-6
He said, "Did God say, ‘You shall not eat
of any tree of the garden’?” and the
woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the
fruit of trees of the garden, but God said ‘You
shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is
in the midst of the garden, neither shall you
touch it, lest you die.’” But the
serpent said to the woman, "You will not die.
For God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes
will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing
good and evil." So when the woman saw that the
tree was good for food, and that it was a delight
to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired
to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate;
and she also gave some to her husband, and he
ate.
Adam and Eve disobeyed the Word of God. Instead
of listening to God the Creator, they listened
to the enemy, the destroyer and they were separated
from God. Sin entered into the human race and
you and I became sinners. Our God is a Holy God
and cannot associate Himself with sin. We are
all sinners without exception.
Is 64:6 We have all
become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous
deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade
like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind,
take us away.
The Word of God says that our righteous deeds
are like polluted garment. Then how ugly will
our unrighteous deeds be before God? God loves
all sinners, but He hates the sin in you and me.
Sin is terrible in His sight because He is a Holy
God. God loves all murderers, but He hates the
sin of murder. God loves all disobedient people
but He hates the sin of disobedience, God loves
all thieves, but He hates the sin of stealing.
He loves all sinners, but hates sin. In the eyes
of God, we are first sons/daughters and then sinners.
Rm 3:23 Since all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
I Jn 1:8-10 If we
say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just, and will forgive our
sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar,
and His Word is not in us.
Sin is like a big thick wall between God and
us. If there is sin in our lives God cannot hear.
Is1:15 When you spread
forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you;
even though you make many prayers, I will not
listen; your hands are full of blood.
God says "When you lift you hands I will not
see or hear because your hands are full of blood,
abortion, murder, sin.” Abortion is murder.
Whether you kill an adult human being, or a child,
or a newborn, or an unborn in the womb, irrespective
of whether the unborn is in the ninth month or
in the first day of its conception it is murder.
Doctors may explain to you a hundred and one things
regarding abortion, but God’s word says
"it is murder.”
Ez 8:16-18 And He
brought me into the inner court of the house of
the LORD; and behold, at the door of the temple
of the LORD, between the porch and the altar,
were about twenty-five men, with their backs to
the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward
the east, worshiping the sun toward the east.
Then He said to me, "Have you seen this,
O son of man? Is it too slight a thing for the
house of Judah to commit the abominations which
they commit here, that they should fill the land
with violence, and provoke Me further to anger?
Lo, they put the branch to their nose. Therefore
I will deal in wrath; My eye will not spare, nor
will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears
with a loud voice, I will not hear them."
There is only one God who has created you and
me and we need to worship this God, the Creator.
You cannot worship the Sun, you need to worship
the One who made the Sun. You cannot worship the
Moon, you need to worship the One who made the
Moon. There are a number of spiritual powers existing
in this world and they can work some miracles
for you, but you cannot worship these powers,
you need to worship the One who made these powers.
You cannot worship creatures, you need to worship
the Creator.
Is 59:1-2 Behold,
the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it
cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
but your iniquities have made a separation between
you and your God, and your sins have hid his face
from you so that He does not hear.
A lot of Christians pray to God for blessings,
for healing, for a miracle, they may be are praying
for the last five years, ten years and not receiving
any answer. If there is sin in our lives, He does
not hear. If God has to hear you, then this wall
of sin between God and you must be removed. You
must come face to face with God. Sin separates
us from God and to be separated from God means
to have no peace, no love, no blessings, no answers
for our prayer.
Ps 66:18 If I had
cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would
not have listened.
Rm 6:23 For the wages
of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When we work we get wages in return, when we
sin we get death in return. There are two types
of death, physical and spiritual death. Physical
death is when our soul is separated from our body.
i.e. when people die, we bury them. Spiritual
death is when we are separated from God. The Word
of God here is speaking of spiritual death, i.e.
going far away from God. It is a terrible thing
to be separated from God.
Ez 18:20 The soul
that sins shall die. The son shall not suffer
for the iniquity of the father, nor the father
suffer for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness
of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the
wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
Sin has some terrible consequences and each person
will bear the consequence of his own sin. The
Bible gives a list of sins.
II Tim 3:1-5 But understand
this, that in the last days there will come times
of stress. For men will be lovers of self, lovers
of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient
to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman,
implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters
of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
holding the form of religion but denying the power
of it. Avoid such people.
I Cor 6:9-10 Do you
not know that the unrighteous will not inherit
the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither
the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
sexual perverts, nor thieves, nor the greedy,
nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will
inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:19-21 Now the
works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity,
licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife,
jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, party
spirit, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the
like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that
those who do such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God.
Rev 21:8 But as for
the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as
for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters,
and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake
that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the
second death."
Mal 3:5 "Then I will
draw near to you for judgment; I will be a swift
witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers,
against those who swear falsely, against those
who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow
and the orphan, against those who thrust aside
the sojourner, and do not fear me," says the LORD
of hosts.
Sin is disobedience to God, going away from the
true God to the false gods, thinking that they
would get some answer from some god, but there
is no other god besides the true God. Involvement
in astrology, palmistry, horoscope, reiki, vastushastra,
pranik healing, occult, reincarnation etc. are
sins against the First Commandment. When you involve
in these, then you are shifting your gaze from
the Living God and making these your gods. This
is an abomination before God. The Word of God
says, when you go with one problem to another
god, your problem multiplies and your condition;
becomes worse than before.
Ps 16:4 Those who
choose another god multiply their sorrows.
Is 47:12-14 Stand
fast in your enchantments and your many sorceries,
with which you have labored from your youth; perhaps
you may be able to succeed, perhaps you may inspire
terror. You are wearied with your many counsels;
let them stand forth and save you, those who divide
the heavens, who gaze at the stars, who at the
new moons predict what shall befall you. Behold,
they are like stubble, the fire consumes them;
they cannot deliver themselves from the power
of the flame. No coal for warming oneself is this,
no fire to sit before!
Deut 18:10-12 There
shall not be found among you any one who burns
his son or his daughter as an offering, any one
who practices divination, a soothsayer, or an
augur, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a medium,
or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does
these things is an abomination to the LORD; and
because of these abominable practices the LORD
your God is driving them out before you.
I Cor 10:19-22 What
do I imply then? That food offered to idols is
anything, or that an idol is anything? No, I imply
that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons
and not to God. I do not want you to be partners
with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord
and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the
table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall
we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger
than he?
Heb 9:27 And just
as it is appointed for men to die once, and after
that comes judgment,
Ez 18:30-32 Therefore
I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one
according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Repent
and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity
be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions
which you have committed against Me, and get yourselves
a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die,
O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the
death of any one, says the Lord GOD; so "Turn
and Live."
When you walk in the direction of sin, you receive
death, but when you turn away from sin, you receive
life. God uses the word, ‘Turn’. Let
me give you a small illustration, that you may
understand this word ‘Turn’. If I
am walking with the Sun behind me, there will
be shadow in front of me. Every step that I take,
I step into my dark shadow. I want to escape from
this dark shadow that is ever before my eyes.
I take a quick step to the right, thinking that
I will leave my shadow to the left, but my shadow
also moves to the right. I take a quick step towards
the left, thinking that I will leave my shadow
to the right, but my shadow also moves with me
to the left. I try to take a few backward steps,
thinking that I will leave my shadow in the front,
but the shadow also moves with me backwards. I
take a quick step over my shadow, thinking I will
leave my shadow behind me, but my shadow also
takes a quick step in front of me. The darkness
is ever before my eyes. How can I escape from
my shadow, this darkness that is before my eyes?
I have to do something very simple, Turn, not
30 º, not 60 º, not 90 º, not 120
º because the shadow will still be before
my eyes. If I need to escape from my shadow which
is before my eyes, then I need to turn 180 º
and face the Sun. When I face the sun the shadow
goes behind me and I am in the light, walking
in the light. Jesus is the true Light of the world.
If you are walking in sin, in darkness, turn 180
º away from the sin towards Jesus Christ
and the sin will go behind you. Praise the Lord!
Jn 8:12 Again Jesus
spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of
the world; he who follows Me will not walk in
darkness, but will have the light of life."
Is 55:6-7 "Seek the
LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while
He is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and
the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return
to the LORD, that He may have mercy on him, and
to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
Is 43:24-25 You have
not bought Me sweet cane with money, or satisfied
Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have
burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me
with your iniquities. "I, I am He who blots
out your transgressions for My own sake, and I
will not remember your sins.”
If you have sinned, gone far away from God, come
back to Him. He will not scold you, but forgive
you and take you in His arms and fill you with
His love and with His peace. Don’t try to
explain your sin to Him, just acknowledge your
sin and He will forgive you. Jesus died on the
Cross for our sins. The vertical dimension of
the Cross represents Jesus reconciling us to the
Father, the horizontal dimension of the Cross
represents Jesus reconciling us to one another.
We must make peace not only with God, but also
with our brothers and sisters. We need to forgive
all our enemies, the living and the dead. The
Word of God says that if you do not forgive your
enemies, the heavenly Father will not forgive
your sins. The measure you forgive will be the
measure you will receive forgiveness from God.
Ps 103:12 As far as
the East is from the West, so far does He remove
our transgressions from us.
Is 38:17 Lo, it was
for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but
Thou hast held back my life from the pit of destruction,
for Thou hast cast all my sins behind Thy back.
Mic 7:19 He will again
have compassion upon us, He will tread our iniquities
under foot. Thou wilt cast all our sins into the
depths of the sea.
I Jn 1:9 If we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive
our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The Word of God says "that God will forgive all
our sins 100% and not 90% or 99.9%. There is no
sin that God cannot forgive and however many times
you might have committed, God is able to forgive
you completely.
Is 1:18 Come now,
let us reason together, says the LORD: though
your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white
as snow; though they are red like crimson, they
shall become like wool.”
God says Let us sit together at the table and
sort out your sins.”
Ps 32:5 I acknowledged
my sin to Thee, and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, "I will confess my transgressions
to the LORD", then Thou didst forgive the
guilt of my sin.
After the fall when God asked Adam in Gen 3:11-13
"Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded
you not to eat?" The man said, "The woman whom
Thou gave to be with me, she gave me the fruit
of the tree, and I ate." Then the LORD God said
to the woman, "What is this that you have done?"
The woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and
I ate."
Each one put the blame on the other trying to
explain the sin to God. The Word of God says,
just acknowledge the sin don’t explain the
sin to God and He will forgive you.
Do you want God to touch your life and fill you
with His deep peace and fulfill His promises?
Then say this prayer sincerely.
Father God have mercy on me a sinner,
too long have I been away from you, I repent for
all my sins and I renounce all my wicked ways.
I decide to forgive all my enemies, living and
the dead and I surrender my life to you. I am
coming home Father, accept me as I am. Jesus I
believe you died for me on the cross for my sin,
sickness and problem. AMEN.
Close your eyes, repent, forgive, surrender
and talk to God in your heart and experience His
love and peace.
GOD BLESS YOU.
