Lk
7:12-15
As he drew near to the gate of the city, behold,
a man who had died was being carried out, the only
son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large
crowd from the city was with her. 13 And when the
Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said
to her, “Do not weep.” 14 And he came
and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still.
And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.”
15 And the dead man sat up, and began to speak.
And He gave him to his mother. |
Mk 5:35-42
While he was still speaking, there came from the
ruler's house some who said, “Your daughter
is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
36 But ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the
ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only
believe.” 37 And he allowed no one to follow
him except Peter and James and John the brother
of James. 38 When they came to the house of the
ruler of the synagogue, he saw a tumult, and people
weeping and wailing loudly. 39 And when he had entered,
he said to them, “Why do you make a tumult
and weep?

| The child is not dead but sleeping.”
40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all
outside, and took the child's father and mother
and those who were with him, and went in where the
child was. 41 Taking her by the hand he said to
her, “Talitha cumi”; which means, “Little
girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 And immediately
the girl got up and walked (she was twelve years
of age), and they were immediately overcome with
amazement. |
Jn 11:32- 44
Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was and
saw him, fell at his feet, saying to him, “Lord,
if you had been here, my brother would not have
died." 33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and
the Jews who came with her also weeping, he was
deeply moved in spirit and troubled; 34 and he
said, "Where have you laid him?” They
said to him, “Lord, come and see.”
35 Jesus wept. 36 So the Jews said, “See
how he loved him!” 37 But some of them said,
“Could not he who opened the eyes of the
blind man have kept this man from dying?”
38 Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the
tomb; it was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”
Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him,
“Lord, by this time there will be an odor,
for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus
said to her, “Did I not tell you that if
you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted
up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank thee
that thou hast heard me. 42 I knew that thou hearest
me always, but I have said this on account of
the people standing by, that they may believe
that thou didst send me.” 43 When he had
said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus,
come out.” 44 The dead man came out, his
hands and feet bound with bandages, and his face
wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind
him, and let him go."

Jn 14:12
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me
will also do the works that I do; and greater works
than these will he do, because I go to the Father.
