Gods Love

God loves you, He wants to have a living relationship with you. When I mean a living relationship, I mean just as I talk to a person and the person talks back to me, I touch the person and the person touches me back, I remain in his/her presence and enjoy the presence of the person. Can we have a relationship with God in this manner? Yes, that is what God is looking for. He wants to have a living relationship with you and me. He is just waiting. You know, when God made Adam and Eve, the Word of God says that God walked with Adam and Eve and He talked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve had a relationship with God just as we have a relationship with one another and it is beautiful to have a relationship with a person. How beautiful it is to receive love from a person and give love to a person. How much more beautiful it is to receive love from God and have a living relationship with Him. When you see the life of the saints, every saint had a deep relationship with God.

God loves you and therefore, has created you in His own image and likeness Gen 1:26. He never withholds any good thing from His beloved and the best thing ever, is His love. He gives you His love abundantly. Love is a two way relationship and this is exactly what God wants. We all have some experience of human love. The love of a father, mother, the love of husband, wife, the love of children, the love of friends and it is so exciting to be loved and to love. It is so wonderful to receive love and people who have experienced this human love want more and more of it, because as you experience this love you feel good, you feel healed, you feel strengthened, you feel nice. If this is what human love can do to you and me, just imagine what God’s love can do to all of us. It has done for me and done for millions of people all over the world and God’s love will do it for you today and everyday.

You may have some experience of a love letter, you feel good when you read it and you read it more than once and you keep it in a safe place and read it again when you feel low. If you can have such a good feeling reading human love letters, then just imagine what God’s love letter can do. The Bible is God’s love letter to you and me and what I am doing now, is just showing and explaining you parts of this love letter. Read on. God loves you! When I say God loves you, I mean He wants to take away your sins; He wants to forgive you of all your sins. You may say, what does it matter whether I have sin or I do not have sin? When you experience God’s love, you will know what it matters, how it is when sin is removed and how it is when you live in sin. When I say, God loves you; I mean He wants to save you from every evil spirit. You may be troubled by some powers of darkness and you do not know what to do, you have been running here and there, trying all methods, all medicines, all people and nothing works. God loves you and He wants to set you free from all evil. Our God is a friend. He is not an enemy. When things go wrong in our lives or there is a calamity, the loss of a very dear loved one, this is what many of us do; we look up to God and say, “God why have you done this to me?” Why should God do such a thing to you? God is your friend. He loves you. He cannot do such a thing. Who loves to give you pain and trouble, is it your friend or your enemy? It is the enemy of course. Your friend never troubles you; your friend never tortures you. It is the enemy who wants to see you suffer. You have friends and you have enemies. You know who is what and who does what. God is our friend and our lover. How can He take pleasure in torturing and troubling you? When I say God loves you, I mean He wants to enter into a relationship with you, forgive you, heal you, deliver you, bless you and fill you with peace. When God looks at you, He looks at you first as a son/daughter, no matter what you are, how you are. Is this what you are looking for? Then read on.

Lam 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

We have all experienced human love in someway or the other, it could be the love of a father, mother, brother, sister, child or a friend. It is a lovely experience. We feel so good when we receive human love. We want more and more of it; we never get tired of it. Considering the fact that all love proceeds from God our Father, He being the source of all the love in this world, how wonderful it is to receive His pure, unadulterated love! All the love in the world put together cannot surpass the love of God. His love is so high, so deep, and so wide. His love never fluctuates nor ceases. It is unchanging and continuous. Human love when marked on paper will give a very jumpy graph; it will go up and down like a cardiogram. If you are in a very good mood, your love is high, when your mood is bad, your love becomes less for the people, if you are angry then you know what happens to your love. That’s human love. Human love is like that, unsteady, your love is like that, my love is like that, Romeo and Juliet’s love was also like that. But it is not so with God’s love, when marked on paper it will be on the highest point and will move steadily, without showing a dip. Whenever you see God’s love in the Bible, you always see the word ‘steadfast love’ or you will see the word 'unending love', 'unfailing love', 'never failing love'. The Bible when talking about God’s love just does not say love but, “steadfast love”, “unending love” unlike human love. In love an often used word among couples is “steady” they say, ‘We are going steady.’ They may break up, fight, have misunderstandings and yet use strong words. Only God can truly say that He is going steady with you and me, because His love is steadfast and unchanging.

Is 54:10 For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but My steadfast love shall not depart from you, and My covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Mountains and hills are huge structures which God created thousands of years ago and these mountains cannot be moved from one place to another, they remain where they are. Any number of people, even 10,000, 50,000 or more, cannot move a mountain. Now God expresses His love for us beautifully and indeed in a strong way when He says that these immovable mountains may at one point move from their places, but ‘my love’ will not depart, will not be removed from you.

People in love often use strong words to express their love for each other; they get carried away and say things which they cannot do. E.g. I’ll go to heaven and bring the stars for you; I’ll cross the seven oceans and bring a red rose for you. None of these things can be accomplished and yet lovers use these lines to express their feelings of love. But when God uses some strong words in expressing His love, He means it, He does it. God loves you. In fact, He is the best lover you can ever have and when He expresses His love, He uses strong words and speaks the truth about what He is able to do for us.

However much I may try to explain God’s love to you in all human words, I will fail to make you understand God’s love. You need to experience. Just as two people who are married recently, go out for a walk and they meet a friend who is unmarried and this friend is asking the couple ‘How is marriage?’ What will the couple answer? Can you explain marriage? Marriage involves so many good things, what will the couple answer to this unmarried person. Probably they will tell the person, ‘Get married and you will know what marriage is.’

Is 43:1-3 But now thus says the LORD, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Only God is capable of doing what He says. Indeed He promises to be with you when you pass through the waters and walk through the fire and His presence will result in your safety. When you go through the ups and downs of life, through overwhelming waters of troubles and the fires of suffering and pain, you will never be alone. He who loves you will be with you and see that you are neither engulfed by the water, nor the fire. How sweetly consoling are His words of love for you!

Is 49:15-16 "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have graven you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”

Some people tattoo the name of their loved ones, but cannot compare to the way in which God has carved you on the palms of His hands. He desires to have you ever before Him, to watch over you with love and affection. He can never forget you because you are ever before Him. Today the world is witnessing the fact that mothers are forgetting their babies and pregnant women, especially those choosing abortion, have no compassion for their babies. And yet, God reassures you, that even when these things happen, what will remain untouched will be His steadfast love for you.

We have the ministry of the Pro-Life, where we save babies from abortion. Thousands of abortions are being done all over the world, so many in India and Mumbai. We have saved a number of babies in the city of Mumbai and about 18 babies have been abandoned to us. The mothers have given away these babies and forgotten them. They have not even come back and asked how their baby is. They have forgotten, but God says in His Word; even though a mother may forget her baby, but I will not forget you. You know when a woman is pregnant, the moment she knows that she has conceived, she is filled with so much joy, and she waits for the baby for 9 months patiently and as she waits for the baby to come, what does she do? She is knitting booties, sweaters, caps, for the little baby who is coming 9 months hence. The mother is thinking of a name for her baby even before the baby could come. Does any woman think of making sweaters, booties for her baby before getting married? No one does that. Only after she is married and after she conceives does she prepare and wait for the baby with so much love and tender care. Do you know that God shows you and me loving tender care not just 9 months before, not 9 years before, not 900 years before you could come? The Word of God says clearly that He knew you before the foundations of the world. In Mt 25:31-34 Jesus says, that on the day of the judgment when the righteous on the right will be separated from the wicked on the left, the sheep from the goats, and to those on the right, He will say, “Come you Blessed of my Father, for when I was hungry you gave me to eat, when I was thirsty you gave me to drink and so on. Come you blessed of my Father, for you was prepared the kingdom of heaven before the foundations of the world.”

The kingdom of heaven was prepared for you before the foundations of the world. God knew you and that you were coming.

Ps 139:13-16 For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise thee, for Thou art fearful and wonderful. Wonderful are Thy works! Thou knowest me right well; my frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth. Thy eyes beheld my unformed substance; in Thy book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

It is God who has created you, woven you in your mother’s womb. He knows all about you, He is interested in you and your well being. No matter who you are, what you do, whether you are rich or poor, pretty or ugly, fat or thin, tall or short, literate or illiterate, good or bad, God loves you. You are His and He cares for you. He is interested in your well being.

Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

In this verse you can see the height, width and depth of God’s love.

He gave His only begotten son - Height

That whosoever believes in Him - Width

Shall not perish, but have eternal life - Depth

God loved the world and He loved you and He loved me, that He gave his Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life; life with God forever and ever. Do you know what this really means? We are all sinners and because of our sin there is a punishment on you and me and we all deserved to go to hell because of our sins, but God had mercy on you and me and He stopped you and me from going to hell. God intervened.

It is up to you to receive this gift of love ‘Jesus Christ’, or reject Him. When you receive Him, you will receive peace, joy and blessing, when you reject Him you will lose all.

The greatest gift and the best gift that you and I can receive from God is Jesus Christ, because in Jesus Christ all your needs are met. When you have Jesus, you have healing because He is the Healer; when you have Jesus, you have deliverance because He is the Deliverer; when you have Jesus, you have forgiveness of your sins, for He died for your sins; when you have Jesus, you have abundant blessing, every kind of blessing, spiritual and material, because He is the one who sends the blessing. God meets with our needs through Jesus Christ.

I Jn 4:8-10 He who does not love does not know God; for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins.

God shows His abounding love for mankind. What more could He have done, He sent His only Son to die that we might live.

Ez 34:11-16 For thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when some of his sheep have been scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the fountains, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them with good pasture, and upon the mountain heights of Israel shall be their pasture; there they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on fat pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel. I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord GOD. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the crippled, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will watch over; I will feed them in justice.”

It is God’s unconditional love for you that He chooses to search for you; He has not given up on you. You are special.

Ps 145:8 The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

Jn 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly.

Jesus has come to give us abundant life. A Life of righteousness, peace and, joy in the Holy Spirit.

It is God’s love that flows to us sinners through His great mercy and compassion. The following scripture verses will speak for themselves.

Is 54:7-8 For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing wrath for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you, says the LORD, your Redeemer.

Ps 86:13, 15 For great is thy steadfast love toward me; thou hast delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

If God loves you lot today, He will love you lot tomorrow, His love will not become less; He will love you lot next week, His love will not become less, He will love you lot next month, His love will not become less; that is what it means by steadfast love, it is different from human love. Human love is not like that. Today my friend will love me a lot, but tomorrow, he may not love me the same, his love may become less next month or after 10 years his love may diminish and vanish, but not with God, His love will not diminish, never vanish, it will remain the same always.

Jer 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Ps 78:38 Yet He, being compassionate, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them; He restrained His anger often, and did not stir up all His wrath.

Rm 9:15 For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

Rm 5:5-8 And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. But God shows His love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

I Jn 4:19 We love, because He first loved us.

I Jn 3:1-2 See what love the Father has given us that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us, is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God's children now; it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

Do you know how big this universe is? How big Mumbai city is? To travel from one corner of Mumbai to the other corner takes so many hours. To travel from India to another country takes many days and nights. You know how big the universe is and when you look at the heavens and see the stars and the planets, do you know how many there are? There are millions of them. Each one is bigger than the earth and the sun. God has created them all. Yet He loves you and me, He comes down to the earth for small creatures like you and me. Can you imagine, the King of this Universe says, “I love you” and when you come into His arms, the strongest arms in the universe are around you, then what have you to fear and bother about, when God says I love you there is nothing to fear. Who can touch you? I want you to believe and experience this today and everyday of your life. I have met the Author of this Book, Jesus Christ. I have met him personally 25 years ago and I know He is real, He speaks to me. He touches me and I touch Him everyday.

Which God am I talking about? How many gods exist? There is only one God, There are many so called gods with different names that people are running after to worship. I am talking about the one and only God, the one who made the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the fishes and the birds that you can see, even all those things that you cannot see. He is the one who has made you and me.

Is 46:9 Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me,

Ex 20:2-3 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me.

Is 44:6 Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: "I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.”

Is 44:8 Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any.

Is 45:5-7 I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I gird you, though you do not know me, that men may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form light and create darkness, I make weal and create woe, I am the LORD, who do all these things. 21 Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Saviour; there is none besides me.

I Sam 2:2 There is none Holy like the LORD, there is none besides Thee; there is no rock like our God.

II Sam 7:22 Therefore Thou art great, O LORD God; for there is none like Thee, and there is no God besides Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Deut 32:39 "See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god beside Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of My hand.”

I Cor 8:4-6 Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that "an idol has no real existence," and that "there is no God but one." For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords", yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

Deut 4:35 To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides Him.

I Chr 17:20 There is none like Thee, O LORD, and there is no God besides Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Deut 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations,

If you are looking for a Saviour, and if you are running from pillar to post, searching for someone to save you from your problem, give you healing and blessing, then there is hope for you. For God Himself says in

Is 43:11-12 I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no saviour. I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses, says the LORD.

Is 47:15 Such to you are those with whom you have laboured, who have trafficked with you from your youth; they wander about each in his own direction; there is no one to save you.

Hos 13:4 I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but Me, and besides Me there is no saviour.

There is but one God and three persons in one God, We don’t have three gods, we don’t worship three gods, we don’t have 100 gods, but one. The Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. The Father is God, we worship Him, Jesus is God, we worship Him, the Holy Spirit is God, we worship Him. We worship one God, not three gods. The Father created all things visible and invisible. He created them through Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. So the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are together responsible for the creation of this world and man. From Adam and Eve, to the last person to come in this world today, all are created by this One and Only God.

• We need to worship this Triune Living God.
• We cannot worship the sun, we need to worship the One who made the sun.
• We cannot worship an animal, we need to worship the One who made the animal.
• We cannot worship a human being, we need to worship the One who made the human being.
• We cannot worship an angel, we need to worship the One who made the angel.
• We cannot worship the powers, we need to worship the One who made the powers.

Today, many wonderful things are going to happen and that will be the manifestation of His love. God is going to demonstrate His love, He is going to say I love you and you are going to experience it. How? You will have a deep peace in your heart like never before, a sign you have received your spiritual healing, that you have come closer to God and you can receive your physical or/and emotional healing too, for which you have been waiting for, since a long time. God will demonstrate His love, that is His way of saying I love you. Maybe you have some bad habit and you want to break it, you want to give it up and you have been struggling. The Lord will set you free. This is God's way of saying, “I love you.”

I want you to believe and say this prayer sincerely from your heart.

Father God, I thank you that you accept me just as I am and I believe that you love me and care for me and have made wonderful plans for me. I want to experience your love and all your plans you have for me in my life. AMEN.

Become aware of God’s loving and healing presence now, as you close your eyes for a few moments and experience His love.
