Testimonies of St. Mary’s Church, Dubai, Outreach and Growth Retreat

It was a unique experience for me, which I had during this outreach. Being a catholic I only knew that I have to go for Sunday mass and fulfill my Sunday obligation. But at this outreach I gained enormous knowledge about Jesus, my Catholic Church, love and suffering. I would like to have more of this as it would keep us in touch with the Lord (at least in another 3 months) so that the light of God doesn’t douse off from our heart. Also the duration to be lengthened by 2 hours as Br.Trevor Lewis had to curtail some of the preaching due to lack of time. I am a diabetic, and had a wound on my left ankle, which I had operated in Holy Family hospital. Bandra, Mumbai. I could not get sleep in the night due to the severe damage to my nerves. Now the wound is healed and also the nerves. Praise the Lord for the miracle he has done in my life. Praise the Lord – Alleluia

Praise and thanks to the Lord for the wonderful miracle in my life. I had lot of fibroids (small lumps) all over my body for many years. I was healed during this service which I attended on the last day (healing day) of the first service. Many more good things happened in me and my family life. Thanks. Servant in Christ.

Praise the Lord! The prayer meeting was very good. It helped us to grow spiritually. The topic on Christian Suffering, gift and fruit of the Holy Spirit and the life of the saints, gave a lot of knowledge. The gifts and fruit of the spirit are very necessary in our life. Hopefully we get more talk. Praise you Jesus! Thank you Jesus! Love you Jesus! Thank you brother for your time. Just in short, I am married having two children and living with my husband in Dubai, Karama. In June 2005, I went down to Goa where I was detected having Brain Tumor. My son was 1 ½ months old. I had to undergo an operation, which was successful and I came back to Dubai. Then again I fell sick and could not walk at all. I had to go back to Goa. From Goa I had to go to Tata Hospital. Again I came back to Dubai. This time I could walk, but not by myself. I required support and used to get scared to walk alone. But now after attending the prayer meeting, I can walk properly all by my myself without anybody’s support. I got strength. The good Lord has healed me completely. Praise the Lord. Thank you Jesus. Love you Jesus.

On 6th October, I was touched on the topic ‘Slandering’. 7 persons on management level were holding my promotion. I decided to forgive them in the name of Jesus. I received inner peace, knowing that in this type of suffering I will be drawn to Jesus. I used to confess this sin always, but no change within.. I enjoyed the Outreach / Growth program. I am 43 years old with 2 children, a leader catechist. I was not aware of the many riches of our church. I only knew St.Francis body was there in Goa. I was shocked and overjoyed as many more saints bodies still exist incorrupt for God’s glory. I know hell exist but was not sure of the torment one has to undergo for all eternity fire, temperature, darkness etc. Apostles did suffer to build the body of Christ, but all did enjoy the inner peace. Br.Trevor Lewis should visit Dubai at least once in 6 months for a week to help us to walk in our faith, and look for the narrow way always.

Br.Trevor Lewis gave us the benefit of his 30 years experience. He helped us to understand our strengths and weaknesses to bring us closer to God. This experience has helped and has made the whole outreach programme so meaningful. Testimony : Physical healing – was healed of a very persistent dental problem. May God bless Br.Lewis.

12 years before, I had slipped on the entrance steps of my aunts’ house in Goa. It was raining and my slippers had oil from the garage where I was doing my training. I had fallen down on 5 steps. For 2 minutes I was not able to stand, but anyhow I managed to stand. From that time I was experiencing pain in my lower part of the backbone. I got cured / healed from this pain – Jesus has put my backbone in the right place again. Thanks for Br.Trevor for helping me to get healed in the name Jesus.

I felt an inner peace and joy in me during the first day (GOD’S LOVE). Praise God. Further I went for counseling. I believe the fear and anxiety that was in me from childhood had left me. This was a important healing for me. Praise God. Allelulia. A friend of mine asked me to pray for Flora who had various sickness and financial problems. I wrote the petition and placed it in the box to be prayed over, 2 days later the friend told me that the BP or diabetes (am not sure) had reduced drastically, of Flora. Praise God once again.The prorgrame was very good except for the time limit was not enough. Would appreciate if further programmes of the similar type will be arranged. Suggest if personal prayer could be elaborated and explained in more detail.

I attended all the days of the outreach. This outreach satisfied a hunger for the Lord of God and in the dynamic way it was preached by Br.Trevor. There is only one priority in my life and that is for Jesus to lead me into the presence of the heavenly father when my life here has ended. May we please have an outreach like this, one every year. This enables a revival of our catholic faith and takes us from being a lukewarm catholic to hot.

The days of retreat last week, and this week, conducted by Br.Trevor Lewis were enriching. The knowledge shared has brought me closer to God. I have personally learnt a lot, which has helped my personal prayer life. The ‘Word’ was opened in a simple, frank, basic way, giving me a clear insight. I had red skin rash in my under arms which vanished after the first three days of the retreat. Life in Dubai is stressful, with office work and family commitment. It would be great if we could have this kind of retreats regularly. I wish once a month for 3-4 days. I have sincerely benefited spiritually with this retreat and thank all those involved in arranging the same. Thank you.

I thank and Praise God for the countless blessings that he has showered on me and on my family. I used to not get good sleep at night, but after the healing service of Br.Trevor Lewis, I am getting very good sleep so much so that I have to force myself to open my eyes to get up in the morning. The most important topics that touched my life was the catholic church blessings and the Christian suffering. The catholic church blessings: I am proud to be born in a catholic family. The blessings that we can receive from our catholic church through confession through consecrated (Holy Communion), I am sure many will realize the importance of our catholic church. Praise God. Christian suffering: God has spoken to me through this talk, how to lead my daily life. I used to get angry and grumble especially in my office, that only I have to do the work. Praise the Lord !! Br.Trevor’s outreach last week and this week helped us to come very closer to God. It was like admission in KG even we (I) used to think, we are graduates and no need of any more studies. But we are nothing. Through the teachings and preaching (easy) it really helped to draw near to the Saviour. It was good to know that many accepted Lord Jesus as their Saviour and their Lord. How can we touch the Lord? What is the role of God, especially the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.
Suggestion: need more time, and we can get some more time for praise and worship, so we can bring the presence of God.

I had fibroids and mass on both sides of my uterus. I had gone for a check up and they took specimens for cancer for surgery.
On the day for healing, I just felt that my fibroids have gone and don’t feel any pain. Otherwise my stomach used to be very heavy and not get proper sleep.
I just praise and thank God for his love and mercy that he showed me through Br.Trevor Lewis. Thank you Jesus. Praise you Jesus.
